BA Clubs - Club Iberia Event - 25 March 2012 in Madrid

Dear All

I'm going to firm up things with Paco so please can you let me know before the end of this month if you are participating in this event, if you have not already told me. He needs to know numbers in order to organise dinner on Saturday evening and entries to race.

The original plan was to run the Coslada event (option of 1/2 Marathon and 5K). However, the organisers have still not confirmed if they are able to put the event on this year. Therefore we are now participating in a 10K race.

"The race is "point to point", so we have to leave the train in one station and take the train back in another one (bad option for supporters). They've got a "portable cloakroom" for runners, and we may arrange our own one, and perhaps bring the supporters from the start point to the finish. We would have reach the start point by train from Chamartín and changing line in Atocha, and then back to the hotel or to the airport by train changing in Atocha. Of course we will go with Club Iberia participants so no worries about getting lost!

Paco recommends that we stay at Hotel Charmartin, the one he provided info on previously and some of us have already booked our rooms. This is to facilitate ease of train travel as the train station is literally on the door step.
