New from the London Marathon

Latest London Marathon Volunteers Monthly (December 2012) (MS Word document)

Mens Surrey league cross country January 12th 2013. Hosted by BAAC at Cranford park.

Thank you all for turning up to the 3rd cross country event on Saturday 12th Jan at Cranford park. A special thank you to all the marshals that came along to help on a cold & windy day and a big thank you to Tom for marking the course and also to Laurie Kelly at the finish line.

The men had a good turn out of 12 runners and finished an excellent 2nd on the day, which leaves us 3rd over all, with a small chance of maybe getting second . There were good runs from Paul Knechtl (4th home in div 4) Chris Kelly 7th & Jeremy Short 10th. Our next fixture is on February 9th at Wimbledon common with the start time of 3.00pm.

P.S. Well done to Richard Ruffell & John Taylor for getting there after watching the lady's race at Mitcham.

Gary Rushmer.

Running Shorts

A runner asks his wife: "What do you love most about me? My tremendous athletic ability or my superior intellect?" "What I love most about you," responded the man's wife, "is your enormous sense of humour."

Q. How do crazy runners go through the forest?
A. They take the psycho path.
